Getting Started

Refereeing or Coaching
Anyone over the age of 14 can take a refereeing course, and anyone over the age of 16 can get involved in a coaching role with the Club.

Most of our coaches are parents of players and started with little or no experience – so don’t let this put you off. Full support and F.A. qualified training is offered and the Club will normally cover part or all of the costs involved.

To start with, you will asked to fill-in a
volunteer membership form and complete a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure (CRB) by our Club Child Protection Officer. These forms are required by law from anyone involved in contact with children and once they have been processed you will be issued with a certificate valid for three years.

The F.A. organise regular courses on a variety of topics during the year. If you are interested please speak to the Club’s Coaching Director or visit our Coaching page.

Soccer Parent Volunteers
The Club is run entirely by volunteers and always welcomes any help and support from parents, relatives and friends. This is a great way to get to know people and contribute to the Club’s development. You don’t need to know anything about football, just be willing to get involved as there is always plenty to do. Even if you can only give one hour a week we’ll make sure we make good use of your time and skills. Just speak to your team manager or anyone on the Club Committee .

In addition further information can be found on the Football Association's site for Soccer Parents.
